Motion design for social media: four vertical reels
Four 9:16 reels for Reels, Shorts and VK clips, each in a different genre of motion design. A flight through a house with kinetic typography, products in 3D with price tags on the downbeats, an animated chatbot interface, and a “how the film was made” infographic on real data. Everything is animated in code on the music’s grid, and the sound effects are synthesized for every event.

The task
Cover the short vertical video genre: show on one body of material how differently it can be presented for social media.
What I did
- Real estate: vertical FPV shots rendered from the 3D model of the house, cuts through a flash and a zoom on the beats, the area and the vault height counting up in frame
- Products: items from the model spinning in 3D, colour wipes on the downbeats, price tags and a “New” sticker with spring animation
- AI bot: the chat interface comes alive on a script — a question, an answer from the knowledge base, a time picked with a tap, the lead flying off to the CRM
- Infographics: the house plan draws itself, the camera path is laid out from the real data, a strip of frames and the sound wave with the drop marked
- Sound: the music cut on the beat; whooshes, clicks and pops synthesized and placed exactly on the events; loudness at −14 LUFS, as social platforms expect
Proof
- The reels play right on the page, in a feed inside a phone: swipe, wheel or arrows
