A 3D model of a 17th-century fort for a hologram pyramid
All the client had was a photo of a museum model of an ostrog, a 17th-century wooden fort. I built a 3D model of it from scratch, with the palisade, towers, church, log houses and the winter riverbank terrain, and made a video for a hologram pyramid: the model turns 360° with labels on the buildings.
- 360°
- rotation in the video
- 3
- model sizes to choose from
- ×1.32
- the scale the client chose
The task
Build a 3D model of the fort from a photo of a museum model and make a smooth rotation video for a hologram pyramid in a school.
What I did
- A model from scratch based on a photo of the museum model: the palisade, towers, church, houses and outbuildings
- Winter terrain: snow, the river cliff and an “island” base to show the model on black
- A video laid out for a hologram pyramid, with the buildings labelled
- Three model sizes in the frame to choose from; the client chose the one 1.32 times larger
- Presentation renders: the fort from four sides and a close-up
Proof
- The page shows renders of the model and a part of the pyramid video
- The work was delivered and fully paid; the source files went to the client
